The Sales Leader plays a pivotal role in driving Parker Aerospace’s growth by providing leadership and direction to the business development and sales teams responsible for executing successful customer growth and technology strategies across EMEA OEM Engine customers.

This role requires a visionary leader who can integrate diverse technologies from multiple divisions to deliver tailored solutions that meet evolving customer needs while managing significant revenue responsibility for both capturing new business and expanding existing accounts.

The Sales Leader develops and retains long‑term, trust‑based relationships with major customers by serving as the top‑level liaison between the customer and Parker Aerospace Group, as well as the relevant divisions.

This includes implementing comprehensive plans for all customer activities, encompassing growth strategies, development projects, technology roadmaps, and support for OEMs and end users.

Collaboration is key in this role, as the Sales Leader leverages their direct reports in Key Account/Sales Management to work closely with Division Sales and Business Development leaders, and Engineering leaders to craft and execute customer growth strategies.

By promoting Parker’s technologies, products, and services, the Sales Leader ensures alignment with customer needs and drives market expansion.

In addition to spearheading sales initiatives, the Sales Leader provides ongoing post‑sale support by delivering status updates on current contracts and addressing any issues that arise, ensuring customer satisfaction and long‑term loyalty.

This role demands a deep understanding of the aerospace market landscape, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies, enabling proactive identification of new business opportunities and effective positioning of Parker’s capabilities.

The Sales Leader also gathers and communicates market intelligence and customer insights to senior leadership, influencing corporate strategies and investments.

Scope/Supervision And Interaction

Provides leadership as the primary, top‑level liaison between a major customers and Parker; has direct reports and is responsible for a local office near customers.

Has regular interaction with Customers, Division/Group leadership and Customer Executives; coordination covers multiple sites and cross divisions.

Typically reports to a Group VP Sales.

Act as the principal conduit between customers and Parker’s executive team to ensure alignment on strategic objectives and business priorities.

Drive initiatives to increase account share, improve margins, and secure long‑term business success.

  • Leadership & Coordination: Provide strategic direction and leadership to Group and Divisional teams in identifying, developing, and pursuing new business opportunities, technologies, applications, and market segments.

Coordinate efforts to secure major program wins and ensure alignment across organizational units.

  • Opportunity Identification & Closure: Collaborate closely with marketing and divisional teams to identify new sales and business development opportunities.

Lead the bid and negotiation processes to successful closure, including pursuing strategic alliances and partnerships with competitors and other organizations.

Analysis: Maintain a thorough understanding of market dynamics, competitor products, and aerospace customer needs.

Provide the “voice of the customer” to Parker leadership by identifying emerging trends, risks, and opportunities.

Building: Establish and nurture extensive, long‑term relationships with key industry stakeholders—including customers, suppliers, and competitors—at the executive level.

Proactively seek, capture, and retain new business while safeguarding Parker’s intellectual property.

Facilitate resolution of complex commercial matters at appropriate organizational levels and maintain effective communication with senior management.
