We're now looking for a Buyerto effectively manage large, complex supplier procurement activities and cross-functional relationships ensuring best practice purchasing techniques are applied at all times aligned with Parker-Meggitt policies and processes.

Your responsibilities

  • Raise direct orders and/or subcon orders accurately and on time to ensure all goods and services are supplied in accordance with customer and company requirements.
  • Manage relationships with designated suppliers of goods and services to ensure quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness targets are being achieved.
  • Accountable for proactive management of exception messages to manage optimum inventory.
  • Manage Orderbook on daily/weekly basis and work on expedite where required.
  • Update ERP system (SAP) with latest supplier commitment and liaise with stakeholders.
  • Conduct requests for quotation, evaluation, negotiations, and sourcing activities.
  • Continuous improvement in Inventory reduction.
  • Ensure compliance with government laws and regulations and company policies and processes.
  • Manage ERP (SAP) system and supply chain performance parameters such as supplier contact information, lead times, minimum order quantities, delivery frequency and schedules.
  • Populate and maintain accurate data in Corporate Parker Tools (PH Connect, E-Procurement etc.)

Who we are looking for

  • Must be able to commit to working on-site 5 days each week (Monday - Friday) on an ongoing basis
  • Good understanding of ERP systems
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Procurement
  • Action oriented, taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm
  • Well-organised, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task
  • Understanding of urgency and ability to work independently and prioritise duties with minimal supervision, to meet deadlines
  • Ability to Identify root cause and problem solving
