Position Summary
The Role:
We are looking for a Production Assembler to join our aerospace manufacturing team, producing and testing speed sensors used to monitor engine rotational speeds in safety-critical applications. This is a hands-on role involving mechanical assembly, soldering and electrical testing to ensure products meet strict aerospace quality standards.
You will work within a highly regulated manufacturing environment with a strong focus on health and safety, quality and continuous improvements.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities of the role:
- Manufacture and assemble aerospace speed sensor components in accordance with engineering drawings and work instructions
- Carry out mechanical assembly, soldering, electrical testing, potting and leak testing activities
- Ensure all products are correctly marked and completed to required quality and traceability standards
- Maintain a safe, organised and efficient work area, supporting 5S and health and safety initiatives
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance quality, efficiency and processes
Qualifications
Skills required:
- Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment
- Mechanical assembly experience and knowledge of soldering processes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions
- Computer literacy and a structured approach to work with strong attention to detail
- Positive attitude, good attendance and a willingness to learn and develop new skills
