In this position you will provide technical leadership and management of the brake control systems team members at the Ansty business park. You'll assign and prioritise tasks to team members, lead Team Improvement Board (TIB) discussions, track on-time completion, represent BCS at daily Run the Business (RTB) discussions, as well as prioritising safety product improvements and drive other product improvement tasks, drive product and process cost reduction efforts (Simple by Design).
Key Responsibilities
- Prioritise tasks to team members and communicate and monitor via monthly Team Improvement Board.
- Perform personnel tasks (time approvals, performance reviews, goals development, milestone tracking).
- Approve engineering technical documents.
- Maintain open communications with Ansty Operations and Program Management on their needs, prioritise these needs with other monthly commitments and adjust with consensus.
- Directly contribute to design activity at times in support of efforts after familiar with processes.
Essential skills and experience you’ll need to be considered for this position
- An Engineering 4-year Bachelor’s degree.
- Engineering team management experience of a team size of 5 – 10 direct reports.
- Strong communication skills, active listening skills.
- Prior experience with setting annual employee goals, performing performance assessments, holding stand-up weekly meetings, weekly staff meetings.
- Project planning experience.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Aerospace management experience desirable, hydraulic servovalve experience a plus.
