Job Purpose

To support the Value Stream Manager in executing the WIN Strategy and Operational Excellence goals across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Engagement. Lead daily cross‑functional execution by aligning people, processes, and priorities to meet customer expectations and sustain operational performance. Drive continuous improvement, standardisation, and team capability development while ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operations.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the day‑to‑day shift operation of the Value Stream, delivering results against Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Engagement targets.
  • Provide leadership by promoting team initiative, coaching, mentoring, training, talent management and individual development.
  • Enable effective team‑based decision making and ensure rapid execution once decisions are made.
  • Support resource and employment‑related decisions for the area by working with the cell leaders, including staffing coordination, development planning and input to performance reviews for shop‑floor operatives and cell leaders.
  • Drive cost control, productivity improvement and profitable growth initiatives.
  • Deploy and sustain the Parker Lean System/WIN Strategy through disciplined use of standardised work, daily management and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure full compliance with EHS requirements and maintain strong 5S/housekeeping and workplace standards.
  • Improve quality and process reliability through structured problem solving, corrective actions and prevention of repeat issues.
  • Deliver premier customer service by ensuring responsiveness, schedule adherence and on‑time delivery.
  • Support longer‑term manufacturing strategy, including simplification, flow improvements and automation where appropriate.

Who we are looking for

  • Experience in a high volume and/or complex manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of managerial experience in a successful operations leadership role.
  • Knowledge of business and operational processes, including end‑to‑end value stream performance.
  • Analytical and technical capability to understand ‘current state’ practices and recommend, facilitate and sustain ‘future state’ improvements.
  • Demonstrated commitment to EHSE and the ability to promote a safe working culture and strong 5S discipline.
  • Capability to work on rotating shift pattern; e.g., 6am‑2pm; 2pm‑10pm; 10pm‑6am or 8am‑4pm (actual patterns may vary).
