We’re now looking for a Metrologist to support manufacturing, quality, engineering, and operational teams through expert dimensional measurement, inspection planning, and metrology process control.

The role ensures that products, components, and measurement systems meet defined engineering, customer, regulatory, and Parker Aerospace quality requirements.

The position requires strong practical and technical capability in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, CMM programme writing and validation, measurement systems, calibration awareness, inspection standards, and continuous improvement within a professional manufacturing environment.

  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, repeatability, and traceability of inspection results and measurement records.
  • Correctly interpret and apply GD&T, engineering drawings, specifications, and measurement standards.
  • Create, validate, control, and maintain CMM programmes in line with product and business requirements.
  • Ensure inspection methods are fit for purpose, consistently applied, and aligned with relevant standards and customer expectations.

Who we are looking for

  • Degree Qualified
  • Experience in Aerospace and or engineering environments
  • Competence in CMM programming, programme validation, dimensional inspection, and measurement control.
  • Ability to interpret and apply GD&T, engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection requirements accurately.
  • Skilled in the use of manual and automated metrology equipment and measurement systems, including CMMs, gauges, micrometers, verniers, height gauges, and inspection fixtures.
  • Understanding of Aerospace quality and manufacturing standards, including AS13100, AS9100, mand‑specific requirements, FAIR/AS9102, PPAP/APQP/AS9145 where applicable, calibration, traceability, non-conformance, and CAPA requirements.
