We're looking for a Production Team Leader able to fully commit to afternoon shifts (2-10pm) within our Gas Turbines Systems Division. In this position, you’ll take ownership of the production area and ensure that parts are produced safely, to the highest quality, and on time by an engaged team. You will drive empowerment and trust within the team to manage and improve key production metrics and support the Win Strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily Operations Leadership: Lead daily Team Improvement Board (TIB), conduct daily line walks, check for completed TPM, 5S+Safety, FIFO, Day by the Hour, on/off pace.
  • Safety & Quality Standards Compliance: Ensure production teams compliance with safety and quality standards and maintain up-to-date audits.
  • Team Management: Oversee team dynamics, including work time, discipline, wellbeing and engagement. Chair investigations and disciplinaries to uphold company policies.
  • Training: Ensure team members are onboarded and trained to a high standard, skills matrix maintained and skills gaps identified and resolved.
  • Team member development: Ensure one to ones are conducted, and development plans created as appropriate.
  • Standard Work, Safe Systems of Work, and Risk Assessments: Own, understand, and train team members on standard work procedures, safe systems of work and risk assessments. Conduct process confirmations to ensure work procedures are being followed and hold team members accountable when not followed.
  • Issue Resolution: Ensure that issues are addressed promptly and take ownership of corrective actions within the area of responsibility.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Willing to commit to working 2-10pm shift Monday - Friday, and a Saturday or Sunday approximately every 10 weeks.
  • A minimum of 2 years leadership experience in production environment, demonstrate the ability to build effective teams and enhance engagement.
  • NVQ level 3-5, HND or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Engineering) or equivalent work experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
  • Possess a mindset focused on ongoing improvement and practical knowledge of problem‑solving tools.
  • Understand key production metrics to drive performance.
  • Capable of making data‑driven decisions based on data analysis; good Excel and SAP skills are a plus.
  • Maintain high ethical standards in all professional activities, with a Safety First mindset.
  • Good understanding of Lean principles.
  • Dedication to delivering a premier customer experience.

Ideally, you’ll also have IOSH certification.
