Parker have fantastic opportunities for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals looking for a chance to learn to weld and in return we can offer a 4 year apprenticeship programme that takes a very practical approach to gaining skills and qualifications (level II and III).

Responsibilities

  • To learn and understand all aspects of the Welding manufacture processes for Heatric as follows:
  • Complete welds on basic non-complex structures, supports, block to block and light low pressure header wedges.
  • Welding PCHE to comply with ASME IX standards.
  • Carry out Heatric Lifting operations.
  • Carry out Grinding and welding support activities.
  • Completion of college assignments as set by tutor.
  • Understand and ability to work with lean manufacturing tools (6S, basic problem solving, 5 Whys, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety and environmental practices.

Education

GCSE – Grade 4 or above must include: Maths, English and Science or Technology Subjects (Resistant materials).
