My client is one of the world’s leading commercial insurers, and Leeds is one of its main UK sites. They’re looking for a PI specialist to join their Multinational Claims team there.
The work
You’ll run your own caseload of PI and E&O claims for multinational customers. Most are large global law firms and international construction consultancies, with claim values up to £500,000. You’ll also oversee claims handled by the insurer’s local offices around the world. That means working with colleagues in other countries and learning how PI works in different markets.
You’ll be the team’s go-to person on PI. You’ll be the link to the specialist complex claims team, and you’ll help colleagues build their PI knowledge. Over time you’ll pick up other lines of business too, so you’ll grow beyond a single class.
Who it suits
- Claims handlers or adjusters with PI or E&O experience, from an insurer, MGA or TPA
- Paralegals, legal executives or junior solicitors from PI defence firms who want to move to the insurer side
- People who make clear decisions, negotiate well and are happy explaining their reasoning to others
- Organised self-starters who are comfortable with Excel and reporting
You don’t need multinational experience, as that will be developed. What matters is a solid grasp of PI claims.
