The continual growth and development of our team in Witney has opened up the exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate/Associate to join the team.

The Role

  • Carry out a wide variety of Wills, Probate and Estate Planning matters, including for high net worth clients and trust and tax planning matters;
  • Line management of some individuals within the team, assisting in training and development of your colleagues, including our trainees/apprentices;
  • As necessary, and alongside colleagues (and in liaison with the Head of Department) provide technical assistance and support to other lawyers in the team to aid learning and development;
  • Build a busy case load and supplement our firm's existing strong trust and estate planning offering;
  • Provide input to the overall team and to Partners/Head of Department on strategy and objectives for the department.

The Candidate

  • Excellent technical knowledge of all areas of Wills, Probate, LPAs, Trusts, Estates and tax planning work including in relation to estate and tax planning matters for high net worth clients;
  • Ideally an existing knowledge of the market and contacts in Witney, but strong networking and business development skills will be essential. This is to assist when collaborating with the Marketing department on new ideas and opportunities;
  • Strong line management skills with a passion to assist colleagues with their own learning and development;
  • The right candidate will be a team player with an enthusiasm to help grow the department further to include assisting in training and development;
  • STEP qualification, or commitment to acquiring this, would be desirable;
  • Willing and able to attend the office at least 3 days a week.
