Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support system verification activities, including system, qualification, and flight testing
- Prepare clear, robust qualification plans, procedures, and reports to support programme milestones
- Support system certification and customer approval activities
- Work within rigorous configuration control, review, and change management processes
- Contribute to estimates, task planning, and risk management activities
- Build trusted customer relationships by responding to requests promptly and professionally
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams and wider business functions to deliver successful outcomes
- Engage with external subcontract organisations where required
- Essential skills and experience you’ll need to be considered for this position
- Experience preparing plans, procedures, and reports for qualification programmes, including environmental and EMC testing to DO-160G or equivalent military standards
- A degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly
- Good interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-focused approach
- Confident decision-making ability and sound engineering judgement
- Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to gather data, compile information, prepare reports, and present findings
- A well-organised, detail-focused approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- The ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and deliver to deadlines with minimal supervision
- Intermediate knowledge of PC software applications and a strong understanding of PC operating systems
