Our client is a well-established and profitable organisation with offices in the High Wycombe area. They are seeking an interim CFO to lead their finance function for an initial period of 9 months.
Reporting into the CEO, the purpose of the role will be to lead and manage the UK finance function, by providing strategic financial guidance, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance, optimising cash and risk management, and supporting business growth through insightful analysis and cross-functional collaboration. This role acts as a key partner to global and regional leadership, driving financial planning, operational efficiency, and alignment with company reporting and governance requirements.
The key responsibilities will be to:
- Partner with regional and global leadership to support business performance, M&A activity, and capital investments, including production of monthly management accounts, business review decks and financial presentations to senior executives.
- Develop, manage and continuously improve budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes for International operations.
- Deliver business insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Support end-to-end due diligence and documentation seamlessly bridging financial, legal and advisory work streams.
- Drive process and systems improvements to increase efficiency and support scale.
- Oversee all accounting and financial reporting activities across International (non-US) entities in accordance with local GAAPs, IFRS, and US GAAP for consolidation.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes.
- Coordinate and oversee audits, both statutory and consolidated group audits.
- Ensure all statutory filings and annual billings are submitted within deadlines.
- Maintain and enforce internal controls in compliance with SOX and global policies.
- Ensure compliance with legal, tax and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee insurance coverage and business continuity planning.
- Risk identification, preparation and implementation of preventive measures.
- Manage cash flow forecasting and liquidity across jurisdictions.
- Optimise working capital management at the regional level.
- Oversee FX risk management and inter-company funding strategies.
- Serve as the key International financial contact for the US corporate office.
- Ensure all regional reporting complies with SEC and US parent company requirements.
- Support quarterly earnings preparations, board materials, and investor-related deliverables.
- Develop, lead and mentor the accounting, finance and treasury teams building capability to ensure effective succession planning.
- Oversee relationships with external stakeholders including investors, lenders, tax advisors and regulatory bodies.
Candidates that apply must have at least 5 years experience in a similar CFO role, operating in multi-currency and familiar with international accounting standards such as IFRS, SOX, GAAP. You should also have previous experience of M&A, including due diligence, financial modelling analysis and scenario planning on a global scale. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to drive high performance and a collaborative culture across diverse and international teams.
On offer is a base salary of 180-200k, bonus and car allowance as well as good benefits. Hybrid working is on offer, but you must be within commutable distance of High Wycombe 2-3 days a week.
