We’re excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Management Accountant to join Parkdean Resorts. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career within finance, gaining hands‑on experience across management accounting, reporting, controls and performance analysis, with development towards a fully qualified role. Reporting into the Senior Finance Team, the Management Accountant supports the A2R team by delivering accurate transactional accounting, contributing to month‑end processes, and producing insightful analysis to support senior finance colleagues and management. This is a great opportunity to build strong foundations in management accounting while working within a collaborative and supportive finance function.
What you will be doing...
- Support senior management accountants and finance managers with reporting and financial analysis
- Assist in preparing financial information for senior stakeholders and budget holders
- Respond to finance queries, escalating issues where appropriate
- Learn and apply best practice in financial reporting and financial control
- Post journals including accruals, prepayments and corrections (under supervision)
- Assist with reviewing income and expenditure transactions for accuracy and correct coding
- Maintain balance sheet schedules and supporting documentation
- Support month‑end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met accurately and on time
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Carry out variance analysis, helping to investigate differences between actuals and budgets
- Support the production of reports and data packs for internal review
- Work alongside senior team members to understand financial performance and key business drivers
- Help track performance against budgets and identify variances
About you...
- Studying towards a professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
- Some experience in a finance or accounting role
- Strong attention to detail and a desire to learn
- Good Excel skills and confidence working with numbers
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative working style
