At Parkdean Resorts, we’re looking for an enthusiastic and safety-focused Assistant Activity & Leisure Manager to help deliver our swimming pool and on-park activity programme. This hands‑on role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced leisure environment and enjoys leading teams, supporting guest experience, and ensuring safe and compliant operations.
What you will be doing...
- Support the delivery of the swimming pool and activities programme to an excellent standard, ensuring outstanding guest service.
- Prepare and support with weekly staffing rotas in line with operational needs and compliance requirements.
- Ensure guest and team safety by following all health & safety, safeguarding, and operational procedures.
- Assist in maintaining pool plant equipment, reporting issues promptly, and ensuring facilities operate safely and efficiently.
- Carry out water quality and chemical testing, taking corrective action where required, and maintaining accurate records.
- Follow correct opening and closing procedures for pool facilities, plant rooms, and equipment.
- Support the handling of guest feedback and complaints, ensuring quick and positive resolutions.
- Help supervise, coach, and develop leisure and lifeguard teams, contributing to regular 1‑2‑1s and ongoing performance support.
About you...
- A valid NPLQ Lifeguard qualification, or you are a strong swimmer willing to achieve it.
- Experience supporting or managing a team within leisure, hospitality, or a customer‑focused environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with team members and guests.
- Good commercial awareness with an understanding of guest experience and operational efficiency.
- A First Aid at Work qualification (desirable).
- Pool Plant Operations or Lifeguard Trainer Assessor qualifications (desirable).
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends, evenings, and bank holidays.
- A friendly, guest‑focused mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional leisure experiences.
