Role Summary:

Normal Working Pattern: Monday-to-Friday (0830-1700hrs)

When applicable, attend supplier exhibitions, industry events and trade fairs to identify sourcing opportunities, market developments and supplier innovations. Contribute to the continuous improvement by identifying and taking ownership of opportunities for improvement to the processes you use, the services you will provide and the values you can add to our organisation.

Skills/Experience/Qualifications:

Essential Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Procurement, Purchasing or Supply Chain Management.
  • Proven experience managing supplier relationships and commercial negotiations.
  • Experience developing and implementing procurement strategies.
  • Experience leading tendering, sourcing and contract management activities.
  • Experience managing procurement budgets and delivering measurable cost savings.
  • Experience leading and developing procurement teams.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing, FMCG, food, pharmaceutical or nutraceutical environment.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain risk management and continuity planning.

Essential Skills:

  • Commercial negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Strategic sourcing and category management.
  • Supplier performance management.
  • Contract management and commercial governance.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Project and change management capability.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP system knowledge.
  • Ability to analyse market trends and commodity movements.

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience within vitamins, supplements, food manufacturing or pharmaceutical sectors.
  • Experience managing international suppliers.
  • Experience supporting new product development and innovation projects.
  • Knowledge of import/export processes.
  • Understanding of sustainability and ethical sourcing principles.
  • Experience implementing procurement systems and process improvements.
