Our client, a global pharmaceutical company, is currently looking for a VAT Accountant to join their team in Chester on a full time, 9-month temporary basis (35 hours per week).
You will be overseeing VAT returns, reconciliations, and reporting as well as advising on VAT related queries for markets within the European and international region.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare VAT returns and other tax returns ensuring deadlines are met
- Request VAT submission approvals from internal stakeholders
- Create VAT and sales general ledger reconciliations
- Respond to any VAT related queries, liaising with internal and external stakeholders as necessary
Requirements
- Pan European VAT accounting experience
- Educated to degree level in accounting/finance or equivalent discipline
- Good understanding of SAP or Oracle
- Proficient Excel skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
