Our client, a well-established and growing business near Reading, is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to make a real impact. As a key member of the engineering team, you\’ll be at the heart of the automation processes ensuring machinery performs at its best. From supporting advanced diagnostics equipment to working closely with cross-functional teams, your role will be pivotal in optimising machine reliability, reducing downtime and driving continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Oversee and support the performance and efficiency of automation systems across production and R&D settings Troubleshoot and optimise equipment and control systems, to maximise operational uptime Create and update technical documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions Analyse performance and downtime data to uncover opportunities for system improvements Partner with Quality teams to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actionsRequirements Strong background in automation, electrical or mechanical engineering Experience with PLCs, HMIs and control systems Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communicator, able to work across departments Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (e.g., medical devices, pharmaceuticals) is a plusPark Street People Ltd is an Equal Opportunities Employer.
