An established manufacturer is seeking a Product Design Engineer to join its R&D team near Reading. You'll work cross‐functionally to design, develop and refine diagnostic products that are manufactured and assembled on site, giving you full visibility from concept through to production.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and develop 3D and 2D designs using SolidWorks
- Design components for injection moulding, considering tooling and manufacturability
- Produce engineering drawings and carry out tolerance analysis
- Support prototyping, assembly and testing activities
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing teams to support production release
- Contribute to design reviews, risk assessments and Minutes improvement
- Ensure design activities comply with ISO 13485 requirements
Requirements
- Degree in Product Design Engineering or a related discipline
- Previous experience in a regulated engineering environment
- Strong SolidWorks CAD skills
- Knowledge of injection moulding and manufacturing processes
- Excellent communication skills
