Our client based near Leeds are currently looking for a Senior Practice Accountant to join their team. This is a varied role offering the opportunity to manage a portfolio of clients while taking responsibility for a broad range of accounting, tax, payroll and compliance activities.You will work closely with clients and colleagues to ensure accounts and financial information are accurate, deadlines are met, and clients receive a professional and responsive service.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a portfolio of clients, maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounting recordsPrepare management accounts, year-end accounts and other financial reports for a range of businessesHandle bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, VAT returns and general ledger activitiesPrepare and support payroll, Self-Assessment tax returns and other compliance requirementsWork on accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companiesReview financial information, investigate discrepancies and ensure records are complete and accurateSupport year-end processes, audits and the preparation of information for HMRC and other external stakeholdersProvide clients with practical guidance on accounting matters and accounting softwareRequirementsICAEW, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualified with post-qualification experience in an accountancy practiceStrong practical experience across accounts preparation, VAT, payroll and Self-Assessment tax returnsConfident using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or similarWell organised, commercially aware and able to manage multiple clients and competing deadlinesStrong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.Excellent communication skills and a professional, approachable manner when dealing with clients.Park Street People Ltd is an Equal Opportunities Employer.
