Recruitare is partnering with a leading European data centre contractor to recruit an Electrical Engineer for a major data centre project based in Blyth. This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineer looking to develop their career on large-scale, technically complex projects. Working alongside an experienced project team, you'll play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of electrical installations from construction through to commissioning.
The Role
- Support the coordination and delivery of all electrical works on site, ensuring installations are completed safely, on programme and in line with project specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of electrical works throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
- Assist with QA/QC processes to ensure installations meet project requirements.
- Coordinate daily site activities with subcontractors, supervisors and the wider project team.
- Monitor project progress and provide updates to senior engineers and management.
- Maintain technical documentation, RFIs and safety records.
- Attend site, engineering and planning meetings.
- Liaise with design teams to obtain and coordinate construction information.
- Carry out installation inspections and quality checks on electrical systems.
- Support commercial activities by assisting with variations and project progress.
- Help identify and resolve technical and coordination issues.
- Assist with snagging and project close-out activities.
About You
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years' experience within electrical construction.
- Experience working on electrical installations including power distribution, lighting and associated building services.
- Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications and site processes.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical installation methods.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary project team.
- Previous experience within data centres, industrial or other mission-critical environments would be advantageous.
