Our client is recognised as one of the most respected delivery partners within the sector, with a strong reputation for innovation, quality, and safety excellence. Due to continued growth and a significant project pipeline, we are seeking a highly experienced EHS Lead to join a major hyperscale data centre development based in North Dublin. This is a senior leadership role suited to an exceptional Health & Safety professional with extensive experience operating on complex, fast-paced construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the overall EHS strategy across a major Data Centre project
- Manage and mentor EHS Managers, Advisors, and subcontractor safety teams
- Ensure full compliance with Irish/EU Health & Safety legislation and company standards
- Oversee RAMS, permits-to-work, audits, inspections, and risk management processes
- Drive a proactive safety culture focused on behavioural safety and continuous improvement
- Lead incident investigations, corrective actions, and EHS reporting to senior stakeholders
- Monitor subcontractor EHS performance and ensure high standards across all work fronts
- Collaborate with Construction, QA/QC, Commissioning, and Client teams throughout project delivery
- Support environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives, and workforce competency programmes
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Environmental, Health & Safety or a related discipline
- Minimum 8-10 years experience managing EHS on large-scale construction projects
- Data Centre experience strongly preferred
- Proven experience leading EHS teams on complex projects
- Strong knowledge of Irish and EU Health & Safety legislation
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong reporting and IT proficiency, including MS Office and EHS systems
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-performing project environments
