The Senior Bid Writer will play a crucial role in managing the end-to-end bid and tender process, supporting the company’s continued growth and success. You will work closely with senior management, internal departments, and external partners to ensure the production of high-quality, winning submissions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend client tender presentations and site visits (via MS Teams or in person).
  • Develop and agree bid strategies with senior management.
  • Coordinate bid timelines and manage deadlines for PQQs and tenders.
  • Lead Bid Launch meetings and oversee deliverables schedules.
  • Coordinate quality and technical answer plans with writers and subject matter experts.
  • Evaluate draft responses, providing clear, structured feedback.
  • Prepare, write, and refine technical and quality content for bids.
  • Liaise with internal teams, design partners, and the supply chain to compile compelling submissions.
  • Assist in the development of case studies and a bid library for future tenders.
  • Prepare presentations and documentation for client interviews.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Degree-qualified in a construction-related or marketing discipline (preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar bid/tender coordination role.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and time-management abilities.
  • Confident working under pressure and managing multiple deadlines.
  • Strong IT skills and analytical thinking.
  • Commercially aware with a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
