Park Recruit are delighted to be working with an ambitious Northern Ireland-based energy technology business to appoint a Sales Director as they enter an exciting new stage of growth. This is a senior commercial position with a difference. Our client is looking for someone who can initially be hands-on and lead from the front, developing new business, opening doors and closing high-value B2B opportunities, while ultimately building the sales team, distributor network and commercial structure around them.
The business operates within the rapidly growing battery energy storage (BESS), EV charging and intelligent energy management market, providing solutions across commercial, fleet, construction, logistics and infrastructure sectors.
The opportunity will involve:
- Leading the full sales cycle and driving ambitious revenue growth
- Developing relationships with major fleet, logistics, construction and engineering customers
- Managing high-value technical and commercial proposals
- Building and leading a dedicated sales team as the business grows
- Developing a network of sales agents, distributors and strategic partners
- Leading the wider marketing and go-to-market strategy
- Identifying opportunities across the UK, Ireland and international markets
Candidate Requirements: Ideally someone with a proven track record selling high-value capital equipment, engineering products or technical solutions. Experience within BESS, EV charging, electrical, mechanical, energy or adjacent markets would be particularly attractive. You'll need to be commercially strong, comfortable with complex B2B sales and, importantly, have the entrepreneurial mindset to build a commercial function rather than inherit an established one.
On Offer: Competitive salary + uncapped commission & bonus, car allowance, significant autonomy and strategic influence, UK, Ireland & international scope, flexible working. This is a genuinely exciting opportunity for someone who wants more than another Sales Director title. There is real scope to shape the commercial strategy and play a major role in the growth of the business.
