Park Recruit is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and highly respected civil engineering contractor to recruit an experienced SHEQ Advisor. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business delivering major infrastructure projects across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, including civil engineering, rail and renewable energy developments. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with industry standards and supporting the continued development of SHEQ systems across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality policies, procedures and regulations are reviewed, updated and effectively communicated.
- Conduct site audits, inspections and investigations, ensuring compliance is maintained at all times.
- Review and monitor Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
- Deliver site inductions for employees, contractors and visitors.
- Coordinate and support SHEQ-related training initiatives.
- Support the development and implementation of management systems compliant with:
Essential Criteria
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Health & Safety qualification (held for a minimum of 2 years).
- At least 2 years' experience in a similar Senior SHEQ Advisor position.
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and management systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Full UK/ROI driving licence.
Desirable
- Experience within Rail, Civils or Wind Farm projects.
- Environmental and Quality qualifications.
Working Hours
Monday - Thursday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
Friday: 8:00am - 2:30pm
Travel Requirements
Candidates must be willing to travel and work away from home on a project-by-project basis across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
