Our client, a successful engineering company based in Mid Ulster, are seeking a motivated professional to join their Supply Chain team and help drive cost-effective purchasing, efficient stock management, and on-time delivery to support their growing business.
Duties:
- Source and purchase goods, raw materials, and services in line with cost, quality, and delivery targets.
- Build and maintain strong supplier and internal relationships to ensure stock availability.
- Use MRP/ERP systems to manage purchasing and stock levels.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and business improvements.
- Produce reports on supplier performance and purchasing efficiency.
- Support the development of purchasing policies and processes.
Requirements:
- 2 years + experience in a purchasing role (negotiating with suppliers, managing costs, delivering improvements).
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a commercial mindset.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experienced with MRP/ERP systems.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English.
- (Desirable) Experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
