As a Production Design Engineer, you will take ownership of products as they transition from design into full production, ensuring efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities:
  • Managing the transition of products into production
  • Driving design improvements from concept through to build and installation
  • Supporting production teams with technical guidance and engineering solutions
  • Producing accurate 2D & 3D CAD models and drawings
  • Collaborating with sales, design, and manufacturing teams
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across production and product quality
  • Sourcing materials and components to ensure cost-effective design solutions
  • Providing technical support across the business, including aftersales and customer queries
Person Requirements:
  • Degree in Engineering or strong design experience within manufacturing
  • Experience using CAD (2D & 3D)
  • Background in a materials handling or heavy engineering environment (desirable)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
Desirable experience includes:
  • Hydraulics, electrical systems, or diesel installations
  • SolidWorks or Pro/Engineer
  • Project or R&D exposure
