The Instructional Designer I works with the Director of Learning & Development to design, implement, and maintain learning content, programs, and certifications. They are highly collaborative and partner with people from multiple departments in the company to gain context and subject matter expertise to ensure that learning resources are accurate, relevant, customized, and engaging.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Design, develop, and deliver high-quality learning programs
  • Collaborate with company SMEs to:
  • Conduct Needs Analysis to identify goals and performance gaps
  • Gather context and specialized knowledge
  • Understand career paths and subsequent learning resources
  • Determine success metrics
  • Collect feedback to continuously improve programs
  • Create engaging and effective instructional materials
  • Manage course creation projects with a high level of enthusiasm and collaboration with company SMEs
  • Provide help with content creation and editing as needed
  • Develop online learning content using eLearning, video editing, and AI tools
  • Create complementary materials for courses as needed (PDF guides, etc.)
  • Maintain high standards of quality
  • Ensure that materials are current and available
  • Participate in the annual audit process
  • Ensure training materials are kept up-to-date
  • Ensure materials are made available to the correct audiences
  • Manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously
  • Respond to requests for new courses/programs, and organize all steps involved
  • Meet deadlines and maintain high quality standards
  • Implement and reinforce processes and best practices for course and program development
  • Lead others through these processes, and ensure accountability in each project team member
  • Utilize project management tools to track completion of steps
  • Other Duties:

    • Assist with Instructor-Led Courses (ILC) as needed: setting up sessions, inviting the audience, and tracking attendance
    • Aid in curating, vetting, and selecting content from third-party vendors for courses that are not created in-house
    • Collaborate with Compliance and Legal teams to ensure that training material is up-to-date, available, and assigned to all relevant parties
    • Raise suggestions and concerns to ensure continuous improvement
    • Utilize data & analytics to measure success of implemented training programs and materials, and communicate these findings to department leadership and company leaders/SMEs
    • Maintain high levels of professionalism

    What we’re looking for:

    • Experience working in a professional and collaborative environment
    • Flexibility and the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to balance priorities utilizing strong organizational skills
    • Desire to collaborate across business functions, time zones, and geographies
    • Experience leveraging the Microsoft Suite of products (Especially PowerPoint, Planner, and Teams)
    • Troubleshooting and problem-solving mindset and capabilities
    • Instructional design experience preferred
    • Experience with course creation tools, video editing tools, and AI tools preferred

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree required

    Travel:

    • Opportunity to travel occasionally
