Job Title: Logistics Operative (Delivery & Operations)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM (35 hours per week)
Salary: £22,750 per year
Reports to: Facilities Manager
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and hands-on driver who genuinely enjoys driving and has experience driving with a van, and can adapt to a mix of deliveries and operational tasks. This role is more than just deliveries – you will spend most of your day on the road, transporting stock, collections, collecting and moving stock or items, and supporting various logistical needs across our clinics, and other locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving & Deliveries: Deliver stock, medical supplies, and equipment across London to various clinic locations.
- Packing & Logistics: Assist with packing clinic supplies for internal deliveries and customer orders for postal dispatch.
- Collections & Equipment Handling: Collect and transport items, move equipment between locations, and assist with setting up or clearing out spaces.
- Stock & Inventory Management: Load and unload the van, track deliveries, and manage inventory.
- Ad Hoc & Practical Tasks: Support with clearing out building works, furniture removals, basic handyman tasks, and other operational needs.
- Route Planning: Plan and optimise delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient service.
Experience Required
- Van driving experience is essential and must be comfortable spending most of the day on the road.
- Previous experience in deliveries, stock management, or warehouse operations is beneficial.
- Basic handyman or furniture assembly experience is an advantage.
- Good time management and organisational skills – must be able to plan routes efficiently.
- Physically fit – must be comfortable lifting and moving stock, furniture, and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills – ability to think independently and adapt to different tasks.
- Basic IT skills – able to use mobile apps for logistics tracking and communication.
- Right to work in the UK and a full, clean UK driving licence.
