Park Lane Surgery is a GMS practice of just under 10,000 patients in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire, on SystmOne and Accurx with the Heidi AI scribe in use. We are recruiting a permanent 6-session salaried GP to join a GP partner and five salaried GPs, supported by a matron who runs our minor illness clinic, two practice nurses, two healthcare assistants and an in-house PCN pharmacist. Through Hoddesdon and Broxbourne PCN we also have care coordinators, social prescribers, first contact physiotherapists and mental health practitioners, with locality community nursing, midwifery and health visiting teams working alongside the practice.

Main duties of the job

The job plan

  • 6 sessions over three days a week, days by agreement
  • Two standard morning sessions of 15-minute appointments, 15 patients each, a mix of pre-booked and on-the-day
  • One morning duty session and one afternoon duty session, shared with the duty team
  • One afternoon kept for follow-up appointments with your own patients
  • One protected admin afternoon
  • Clinician-led total triage: care navigators and the duty team filter demand before it reaches your lists
  • Low home visiting, with cover from the Acute In-Hours Visiting Service and access to Hospital at Home
  • No extended hours or weekend commitments; extended access is delivered by the PCN

Start and finish times move with your duty sessions: an earlier finish on the morning duty day, a later start on the afternoon duty day. Other timing adjustments considered.
