Our well‑established practice is based in Oswestry, Shropshire, near the Welsh border, with a branch practice located just 20 minutes away near Wrexham. Our facilities include two operating theatres, an imaging suite with modern ultrasound and digital radiography equipment, and a dedicated dental suite complete with dental radiography. We see a broad range of medical and surgical cases and perform our own orthopaedic procedures, including lateral suture and MMP cruciate repairs, as well as patella luxation surgery. We also utilise an Imagyst scanner, enabling rapid cytology results, often within 24 hours. Outside, our large garden provides a great space for lunch breaks and exercising inpatients.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload. You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.

Working Pattern
  • Part‑time maternity cover position working 18 hours per week
  • Monday and Wednesday, 8:30am - 6:30pm
  • Flexibility around working days and hours may be considered
  • Optional participation in the weekend rota
  • 1 in 8 Saturday shifts, 8:30am - 4:30pm
  • VetsNow provides out-of-hours cover
  • Facilities available for overnight inpatient care when required
