Park Issa, our well-established practice, is based in Oswestry, Shropshire near the Welsh border and we also have a branch practice 20 minutes away near Wrexham. We pride ourselves on our committed client and patient care, aiming to give the best service possible. We have two operating theatres, an imaging suite with modern ultrasound and x-ray machines, and a dental procedures room with dental x-ray. We have a broad caseload of medical and surgical cases and do our own basic orthopaedics including lateral suture and MMP cruciate repair and patella luxation. We have a large garden behind the practice often used to spend sunny lunch breaks or exercising inpatients.

Responsibilities

As a Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload. You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you. We are looking for a senior small animal vet to join our fabulous team at Park Issa! This is an exciting leadership opportunity in a busy GP practice, a chance to inspire clinical excellence, promote great client care and high standards of patient care. You will be working alongside an experienced team including Clinical Director, Practice Manager and 2 Head Nurses. This is a full-time position of 40 hours a week between 8:30am-6:30pm. There is flexibility with hours/days and we can accommodate anything from 30-40 hours over 3, 4 or 5 days so please feel free to discuss what works for you. One in 8 weekends (Saturday shift 8:30am-4:30pm). We use VetsNow for our OOH but we do have facilities to keep in-patients overnight if required.

You Might Be a Great Fit If…

Our ideal candidate is an experienced vet with or without leadership experience, who is striving for great clinical standards, champions innovation and is a great mentor/leader. You will have animal care at the heart of everything you do and enthusiasm for providing a high-quality service. You are a confident and motivated veterinary surgeon who enjoys working as part of a team and is committed to delivering high-quality patient and client care.
