We are seeking a skilled and experienced Full Time Maintenance Person to join our team to cover Bradford and Leeds.
Responsibilities
- Carry out daily tasks as laid out in the Maintenance Book and sign weekly record sheet.
- Liaise with specialist contractors as required.
- Organise and carry out planned maintenance, painting and decorating etc.
- Implement weekly and other fire prevention checks as laid down in Fire Policy.
- Record keeping as required.
- Safe keeping of tools and equipment.
- Ordering and safekeeping of materials with the approval of the Home Manager.
- Seasonal gardening works, grass cutting, digging of flower beds, preparation of hanging baskets etc.
- Liaise with Housekeeper and Catering Manager to ensure that refuse areas are kept tidy at all times.
- Driving duties as required.
- To become familiar with and monitor the output of all heating plant and equipment.
- Regularly monitor temperatures within the building and adjust accordingly. Promote energy‑efficient use of buildings.
- Any other duties as required.
- To provide on call cover on a rota basis.
Experience
- Maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
Licence / Certification
- Driving License (preferred)
