Eachstep Lockwood in Huddersfield require a laundry assistant on a part time basis, 2-4 hours per day on a rota basis. This may include weekends and bank holidays.
Responsibilities include:
- Promoting the good name of the Home by ensuring Service Users’ clothing, staff uniforms and bed linen are laundered and finished to the agreed standard.
- Adhering to the Company’s infection control policy.
- Ensuring adequate supplies of all linen are available.
- Assisting in stock checks as required.
- Operating all laundry equipment safely and according to manufacturers’ instructions.
- Pre-sorting all laundry for wash suitability and arranging for drying.
- Washing, ironing and finishing all items to the agreed standard.
- Hand washing woolens and other items as appropriate.
- Performing other duties as required at the discretion of the management.
All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and receipt of two satisfactory references.
