We are seeking a skilled and experienced Full Time Maintenance Person to join our team to cover Bradford and Leeds.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out daily tasks as laid out in the Maintenance Book and sign weekly record sheet.
  • Liaise with specialist contractors as required.
  • Organise and carry out planned maintenance, painting and decorating etc.
  • Implement weekly and other fire prevention checks as laid down in Fire Policy.
  • Record keeping as required.
  • Safe keeping of tools and equipment.
  • Ordering and safekeeping of materials with the approval of the Home Manager.
  • Seasonal gardening works, grass cutting, digging of flower beds, preparation of hanging baskets etc.
  • Liaise with Housekeeper and Catering Manager to ensure that refuse areas are kept tidy at all times.
  • Driving duties as required.
  • To become familiar with and monitor the output of all heating plant and equipment.
  • Regularly monitor temperatures within the building and adjust accordingly.
  • Promote energy‑efficient use of buildings.
  • Any other duties as required.
  • To provide on call cover on a rota basis.

Experience

  • Maintenance: 1 year (preferred)

Licence / Certification

  • Driving License (preferred)
