Pemberton Fold Care Home is looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate, and experienced Deputy Manager to support the day-to-day management of our home. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual who is passionate about delivering outstanding person-centred care and supporting a dedicated team to achieve the highest standards. Working alongside the Registered Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring our residents receive exceptional care in a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day management of the care home.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the care team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, company policies, and all relevant legislation.
  • Assist with staff recruitment, induction, training, and supervision.
  • Support care planning, risk assessments, and quality assurance processes.
  • Promote a positive culture focused on dignity, respect, and resident wellbeing.
  • Assist with staffing, rota management, and occupancy where required.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
  • Act as Registered Manager in their absence.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a senior care role, such as Deputy Manager, Team Leader, or Senior Carer.
  • A Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care as a minimum (Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards it, is desirable).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • A sound understanding of CQC standards, safeguarding, and person-centred care.
  • Experience supervising and developing staff.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • A positive, compassionate approach and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional care.
