The home is situated in the quiet, close-knit village of Elworth, Sandbach in Cheshire. St Stephens is a purpose-built 40-bedded care home which provides specialist residential and nursing care to older people and people living with dementia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Housekeeping Management: Supervise, support, and motivate housekeeping staff. Prepare staff rotas and allocate daily tasks. Monitor housekeeping performance and provide training where needed. Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
- Cleaning and Hygiene: Ensure all resident rooms, communal areas, offices, and facilities are cleaned to a high standard. Maintain compliance with infection prevention and control procedures. Ensure cleaning schedules are completed and documented. Respond promptly to spillages, hazards, and cleaning emergencies.
- Health and Safety: Ensure safe use, storage, and handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Conduct risk assessments relevant to housekeeping activities. Follow and promote health and safety policies and procedures. Report maintenance issues, hazards, and accidents promptly.
