St Andrew's Care Home in Hawick is looking for a motivated and reliable Bank Chef to join our team on a flexible, as-needed basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced chef who enjoys preparing nutritious, home-cooked meals and wants the flexibility of bank work while making a real difference to the lives of our residents.
The Role
- Prepare and cook fresh, nutritious meals for our residents.
- Cater for a variety of dietary requirements, allergies, and special diets.
- Ensure high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and kitchen safety.
- Monitor food stock and assist with ordering and stock rotation.
- Work closely with the care team to provide an enjoyable dining experience for residents.
- Follow all Food Safety, HACCP, and Health & Safety regulations.
About You
- Has previous experience as a chef or cook.
- Holds a Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above is desirable).
- Is passionate about providing quality meals.
- Can work independently and as part of a team.
- Is reliable, flexible, and organised.
- Has a caring and positive attitude.
