The home is situated in the beautiful market town of Castle Douglas, overlooking Carlingwark Loch and surrounded by the magnificent Galloway countryside. Carlingwark House is a warm, welcoming home that provides residential care and support for up to 30 older people, including those living with dementia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare daily meals for residents according to menu plans. Ensure meals are nutritious, balanced, and suitable for elderly residents. Cater for special diets such as diabetic, vegetarian, soft/pureed, low-salt, or allergen-free diets.
- Menu Planning: Design seasonal menus with variety and nutritional value. Consider residents' preferences and cultural needs. Work with care staff or nutritionists to meet dietary requirements.
