Welcome to Allerton Park where we pride ourselves in person centred care and encouraging our residents to live independent and engaging lives. We think of ourselves as an extended family and residents partake in interests such as baking, cooking and even helping to decorate their home.
Allerton Park is an established and respected home offering care across two independent units of 24 and 26 beds each, providing specialist dementia care for people of all ages. Each unit has been designed to offer a homely feel with small lounges and dining areas throughout the home. Staff are dedicated to each unit to provide consistency and familiarity to our residents which encourages a safe, secure and personal experience. There is also a secure enclosed garden and a smoking area with easy access for those lovely summer evenings. Staff encourage and involve residents in making choices about how they wish to live, ranging from going out shopping for personal items to deciding on the colours and furnishings in their own bedrooms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain all areas of the care home, including:
- Residents bedrooms
- Bathrooms and toilets
- Communal lounges and dining areas
- Corridors, offices, and staff rooms
- Carry out daily, weekly, and deep cleaning tasks in line with cleaning schedules
- Ensure all cleaning is carried out in accordance with health and safety and infection control procedures
- Safely use and store cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Handle laundry duties when required, including washing, drying, ironing, and folding clothes and linens
- Dispose of waste safely and appropriately
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or hazards to management
- Respect residents' privacy, dignity, and personal belongings at all times
- Follow safeguarding policies and report any concerns
