As Maintenance Manager, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day maintenance operations across this flagship park, leading a skilled team and ensuring our facilities, holiday homes, and outdoor spaces are always guest ready. This is a visible, hands-on leadership role where no two days are the same. You’ll balance people management, planning, budgets, and health & safety, while working closely with other departments and external contractors to deliver outstanding standards across the park.
Job Duties
- Be a key point of contact for guests, delivering a friendly, professional experience always.
- Lead, motivate, train, and allocate work across the maintenance team.
- Implement and manage proactive maintenance schedules for plant, equipment, and facilities.
- Carry out and oversee regular health & safety inspections, always ensuring full compliance.
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly inspections to identify defects, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Manage and coordinate siting activities and holiday home movements in partnership with the Sales team.
- Oversee contractor works, ensuring quality, safety, and value for money.
- Control departmental budgets, monitoring spend and driving cost-effective solutions.
- Ensure all equipment and assets are safe, compliant, and fully operational.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a maintenance management or supervisory role, ideally within leisure, hospitality, or holiday parks.
- Strong people-management skills with a natural ability to lead from the front.
- Solid hands-on maintenance knowledge (plumbing, carpentry, basic electrics, plant & equipment) is advantageous.
- Excellent understanding of health & safety legislation and best practice.
- Confident communicator, able to work effectively with guests, teams, contractors, and senior management.
- Highly organised with strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing budgets and controlling costs.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and peak trading periods as required.
