As a Maintenance Assistant, you'll play a vital role in the day-to-day operation of the park, carrying out a wide range of maintenance, repair, and groundskeeping tasks. From fixing plumbing issues and repairing decking to maintaining landscaped areas and supporting holiday home sales, no two days are the same. Working both independently and as part of a supportive maintenance team, you'll ensure our facilities, holiday homes, and outdoor spaces are maintained to the highest standards.
What you will be doing...
- Carry out routine maintenance and repairs across the park.
- Complete a variety of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repair tasks.
- Use our ParkSmart system to manage and complete maintenance jobs efficiently.
- Support other park departments with maintenance requirements as needed.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and workshop areas to a safe and organised standard.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels of maintenance materials and supplies.
- Prepare holiday homes for sale, ensuring they are clean, safe, and presentation-ready.
- Complete snagging, inspections, and repairs to fixtures, fittings, plumbing, and electrics.
- Support holiday home handovers and respond promptly to maintenance requests.
- Assist with pitch tidies and the movement or siting of holiday homes when required.
- Work closely with the Sales, Ownership, and Maintenance teams to deliver an excellent customer experience.
- Maintain the park's outdoor spaces, including grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming, and litter picking.
- Carry out landscaping, painting, fencing, jet washing, and general external repairs.
- Care for flower beds through planting, weeding, and general upkeep.
- Keep bin bays and service areas clean and well-presented.
- Safely change gas bottles in line with company procedures.
- Support the upkeep and presentation of holiday home pitches across the park.
About you...
- Practical, hands-on experience in general building maintenance, property repairs, or a trade environment (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, painting and decorating, electrical assistance, or general repairs).
- Ability to carry out a wide range of maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, installations, basic fault finding, and preventative maintenance.
- Hands-on groundskeeping / landscaping experience.
- The ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending and standing for extended periods of time.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Good manual dexterity with the ability to use or learn to use an array of hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment, with the ability to safely operate and maintain them.
- A Full UK Driving Licence.
- The flexibility to be able to work across varied days including weekends, evenings, and bank holidays as required.
