Salary – D Grade – Full Time Equivalent £27,780 per annum (Actual pro rata salary - 39 weeks at 30 hours: £19,266; 37 hours: £23,762). 30 to 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday). 39 weeks per year - Term Time Only. Starting 1 September 2026.

Park Community School is seeking a Matron to manage our school’s first aid room on our secondary campus.

Responsibilities
  • You will be the first point of contact for students who are injured or feeling unwell, providing first aid, managing medical records, and offering support and reassurance.
Qualifications
  • A current First Aid at Work qualification (or a willingness to undertake this training as soon as possible)
  • Experience working with children or young people (ideally within an educational, youth work, or healthcare setting)
  • An empathetic, patient, and resilient nature
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and handle medical emergencies
  • Excellent communication skills and a high level of discretion/confidentiality
  • Strong IT / administrative skills for record‑keeping purposes
