St Mary'sCatholic Academy, part of the St Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Multi-AcademyTrust, is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced anddedicated teacher to join our team as Special Educational Needs Coordinator(SENCO) and KS1 Class Teacher.
This is anexcellent opportunity for a passionate and highly motivated professional who iscommitted to ensuring that all children, regardless of need or background,achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will play a pivotal rolein leading and developing our SEND provision whilst also teaching within KeyStage 1.
We areseeking an individual who can demonstrate a strong commitment to inclusiveeducation, has a proven track record of supporting pupils with additionalneeds, and is able to work effectively with staff, parents, external agenciesand the wider school community.
TheSuccessful Candidate Will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Hold the National Award for SEN Coordination.
- Be an excellent classroom practitioner with experience of teaching in Key Stage 1.
- Have a thorough understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and current SEND legislation.
- Demonstrate successful leadership and management of SEND provision.
- Have experience of developing, implementing and reviewing effective support plans and interventions.
- Be skilled in analysing pupil progress and using assessment information to improve outcomes for children with SEND.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and build positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents and external professionals.
- Support and uphold the Catholic ethos and values of the school.
- Be committed to securing the best possible outcomes for all pupils through high-quality inclusive practice.
