I m working with a London Borough that is looking to appoint experienced Private Sector Housing professionals to join its Selective Licensing Enforcement Team on an initial three-month contract.
This is an enforcement-focused position within a well-established Private Sector Housing service.
You will manage cases relating to selective licensing, poor housing conditions and non-compliant landlords, progressing investigations from the initial inspection through to formal enforcement action.
The role offers hybrid working, with 3 days on site each week, including office attendance and property inspections across the borough.
Your responsibilities will include: Undertaking inspections of selectively licensed properties across the private rented sector.
Investigating breaches of selective licensing conditions and unlicensed properties.
Carrying out Housing Health and Safety Rating System inspections.
Identifying and assessing Category 1 and Category 2 hazards under HHSRS.
Investigating complaints involving housing disrepair, poor property conditions and landlord non-compliance.
Preparing and serving statutory notices under the Housing Act 2004.
