Lead on a major local authority property transformation.
We're partnering with a North West Local Authority looking for an experienced Interim Head of Property & Asset Strategy to lead a significant programme of property and asset transformation.
This is a highly strategic role. The council needs someone who can assess the current property function, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive the implementation of a modern asset management approach.
You’ll be responsible for a team of approximately 20-30 people, helping to shape the future of the Council's property and corporate asset plans.
Key areas will include:
- Leading and developing a sizeable Property / Estates function
- Reviewing existing structures, processes and ways of working
- Delivering strategic asset reviews and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Developing and implementing Corporate Asset Strategies
- Experience of Corporate Landlord models and wider property transformation
- Turning strategy into tangible operational change
- Providing senior-level advice and direction across the organisation
The Council is particularly interested in someone who brings more than traditional property management experience - they want a leader with the vision to understand what a modern Local Authority property service should look like and the experience to make that happen. MRICS qualification is preferred.
Interim Head of Property & Asset Strategy
- £800 - £900 per day
- Initial 4-month contract - strong potential to extend
- 2 days per week in office
Interviews are expected in the third week of September, with a view to starting in early October.
