Park Avenue are delighted to be partnering with a London Borough in procuring them a Finance Business Partner to take the lead on Environmental Services within the organisation.
The role has arisen due to an internal secondment within the organisation that requires cover for at least a year and the authority would expect an office presence several times a week.
Reporting to the Head of Finance Business Partnering, you will
- Act as the lead finance business partner for Environment services, providing high-quality financial advice, insight and challenge.
- Support budget holders managing multi-million-pound revenue and capital budgets across a diverse portfolio of frontline services.
- Lead budget monitoring, forecasting and financial reporting processes.
- Support the development of the Council's Medium-Term Financial Strategy (MTFS) and annual budget setting process.
- Provide robust financial modelling and analysis to support transformation programmes, savings initiatives and service redesign.
- Partner with project teams delivering capital investment programmes, ensuring robust financial governance and control.
The ideal candidate will
- Be CIMA or ACCA qualified.
- Strong excel, systems and interpersonal skills.
- Have extensive business partnering experience within Local Government in the past especially within Environmental Services.
- A strong track record of delivering cost savings across London Borough's.
- Ability to provide a thrice a week office presence.
