My long-standing Local Authority client is looking for an Interim Assistant Director to cover Regulatory Services (including EH & Licensing), Private Sector Enforcement, and Public Protection (ASB, highways, statutory nuisance). This is a senior leadership role within a busy London Borough, requiring someone with strong experience in a regulatory or public protection environment and a proactive, solutions-focused approach to service delivery and problem-solving.

You will be confident operating at pace and managing complex and sensitive service areas. The ideal candidate will bring significant local authority experience at a senior level, with a strong understanding of environmental health, licensing, and enforcement frameworks, and ideally will be a member of the CIEH.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-resourced, collaborative, and forward-thinking team that is committed to delivering real change across the borough, with teams that work closely together in a hands-on and proactive way.
