Temporary Accommodation Move-On Officer in Lenham

Lenham Temporary On-site

Are you an experienced Temporary Accommodation professional who enjoys solving complex cases and helping households move on from TA into settled housing?

We're working with a Kent-based Local Authority looking for a TA Move On Officer to support their team with reducing temporary accommodation pressures and progressing households towards sustainable housing solutions.

This isn't a placement-finding role. The focus is on reviewing long-term TA cases, developing realistic move-on plans, identifying opportunities to discharge duty where appropriate, and working with residents to achieve the best possible outcomes.

The team is managing a number of complex and high-profile cases, so they're looking for someone who can hit the ground running, make robust decisions, and confidently explain those decisions to residents.

This would suit someone with experience in:

  • Temporary Accommodation
  • Housing Options
  • Homelessness Prevention
  • Move-On Services
  • Discharge of Duty

They're particularly interested in candidates who understand TA as a housing function in its own right and can bring both practical experience and a strong understanding of homelessness legislation.

What's on offer?

  • Β£36 per hour
  • Hybrid working (2 days per week)
  • Opportunity to work on complex and interesting cases
  • Chance to influence move-on activity and reduce TA pressures
  • Supportive team environment
  • Immediate interviews available
  • Experience with Huume would be beneficial but isn't essential.

If you've got a strong TA or Housing Options background and enjoy the challenge of resolving complex accommodation cases, this is a role where your experience will genuinely make a difference from day one.
