Park Avenue are pleased to be partnered with a London Borough who are looking for an Interim Head of Operational Property (Facilities Management).

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the team to optimise the operational property portfolio through the implementation of the Council's Asset Management Strategy.
  • Manage the repairs service delivery ensuring the delivery of an efficient and cost-effective service.
  • Ensure the property portfolio meets all statutory and legislative Health and Safety requirements.
  • Act as senior facilities management advisor for the portfolio, collaborating with clients to develop local site-based facilities management delivery plans.
  • Continually improve property utilisation, reducing property running costs, providing flexible properties in the right location and releasing potential disposal opportunities in line with the Asset Management Strategy.
  • Working closely with other departments internally, as well as being involved in meetings - Members, Leaders, Contractors etc.

Assets include parks, schools, day centres, residential care centres, historical buildings, town halls, pavilions, and depots.

The team work on a hybrid basis. You're required in the offices three days per week, and parking is available locally. Site inspections in the borough may be necessary, and can be completed individually, or with other team members.

The contract length is an initial 6 months, which is split into a 3 month and 3 month basis with HR.

Local Authority/Public Sector experience is required. Access to a car may be required for site inspections.
