INTERIM HEAD OF HR SOUTHEAST Park Avenue are looking to speak with Interim HR candidates interested in supporting a Local Authority as it prepares for Local Government Reorganisation.

The current Head of HR is supporting the Shadow Authority s transition programme, creating a requirement for an experienced HR leader to oversee the Borough Council s people function during this critical period.

Your role will likely include: Leading the Council s HR service and providing strategic workforce advice to senior leadership.

Supporting organisational change programmes, restructures and workforce transition plans linked to LGR.

Managing complex employee relations matters, including consultation, TUPE and redundancy processes where required.

Developing workforce strategies to maintain service continuity and retain key talent during the transition.

Working closely with Trade Unions, Members and senior stakeholders to ensure positive employee engagement.

Overseeing recruitment, retention and succession planning across Council services.

You ll be working closely with the LGR Programme Lead, who is overseeing the transition arrangements and future operating model for the new authority.
